The first 3 weeks of term 3, a daily swimming programme was followed. Weeks 1 and 2 was a continuation of the programme which started in term 4 of last year. Week 3 was dedicated to the water safety programme. Students participated in a range of activities to improve their confidence in the water.Good feedback was received on the improvement in student’s swimming abilities and the support from the parent community was greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Phoebe Bugtong who won 2 prizes for her investigation into 3D TVs and the effect they have on people. She won a Special Prize from NZ Association of Optometrists and a Highly Commended award from NIWA.

We have had some fantastic wins with our Saturday netball teams. There was great team spirit, with support on the side lines. Dedicated parents and players cheered and provided encouragement, even when the weather had not been too kind at times.
