Mrs Tania Gordon

Teacher - Kakariki class

"I initially taught for two years, over 20 years ago, in Upper Hutt. I then took time off to have a family and was blessed with four wonderful children.  I spent many years homeschooling my own children in Hastings where my husband and I were in ministry.  We then moved to Kentucky, USA for 4 1/2 years for my husband to attend seminary.  I have always been very passionate about Christian education, so when we returned to NZ in 2010 to church plant in Naenae, our youngest enrolled in Maranatha, and I soon joined the teaching staff. Working part time in Kakariki and teaching your children the wonderful truths about Christ is a blessing and a privilege."

Mrs Jasmyn Schmidt
Teacher - Kakariki class

"I started my teaching career in a state school in Wellington.  Since then I have completed Reading Recovery Training and have also taken time out to have my three children. I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to teach Kakariki class. I have a passion for teaching reading and maths to this age group and love seeing their enthusiasm for learning. Maranatha is special to me because God is central to all we do and underpins all the learning in our classes."
