Application
Parents seeking to enrol a child at the school are required to complete an online Application for Enrolment Form. Please check that you have the following documentation ready before completing the form:
- NZ Birth Certificate or Passport (NZ Citizen)
- Residency Visa/Permit (Non-NZ Citizen/Permanent Resident of NZ)
- Latest School Report (if applicable)
As part of your application process, you will also be required to complete and upload a Parent Declaration Form (external link) and to download and forward a Pastor’s Reference Form(external link) to the Pastor/Minister or Senior Leader of the church you attend.

Enrolment Process
Once your application has been completed, you will receive an email acknowledgement, and the application will be held until spaces become available for new students. At this time, you may be invited to attend an enrolment interview.
At present, there are no available spaces at Years 1 - 8. We have a capped roll of 160 students, set by the Ministry of Education. However, we do allow for a certain number of new entrant students each year.
Invitations to enrolment interviews and allocation of spaces are made in accordance with our Enrolment Preference Policy. Please note that attending an enrolment interview does not guarantee a space, as there are frequently more applicants than spaces available.
Soon after attending an enrolment interview, you will be advised if your application was approved by the Maranatha Foundation Board. Further to this, you will be advised if space is available or if the applicant will continue on our waiting list.

Enrolment Dates
Maranatha Christian School now has two enrolment cut-off dates each year.

Maranatha Christian School is a cohort entry school which means we have two intakes per term i.e. start of the term and mid-term. Students are not legally allowed to start school before their 5th birthday.
